Hare Hare Yukai (Live Arrangement Version)
Pack compiled by DJ Bouche (Andrew Lim) 2006.09.01

=Notes=

I took my MIDI and tweaked a little, derived an arrangement
for a live band performance with 5 parts:

Vocals, Bass, Drums, Guitar, Keyboard

You could probably get away with performing it without
Guitar or Keyboard while still resembling the original song.
I provided the parts separately in MP3 and MIDI form (for
generating tabs/notation etc.), and a sample of it put
together.

=What's Included=

Hare Hare Yukai (Live Arrangement Version)
- An example of the merged parts, using Aya Hirano's vocal
  and the Backing Vocals.
Hare Hare Yukai (Live Arrangement Version Instrumental)
- An example of the merged parts, without vocals.

=Parts=

The parts are given in both MIDI and MP3 form. The MP3 form
is a sample of what it might sound like when performed (these
were generated and modified to fit with high quality
soundfonts and were not actually performed). The MIDI
versions may be used to generate tabs, drum sheets, or sheet
music. Feel free to derive from them (that's what they are
there for).

HHY_Bass
- Bass Line
HHY_Drums
- Drum Line
HHY_Guitar
- Distortion Guitar (Rhythm and Lead merged)
HHY_Keyboard
- Keyboard-played Parts (Synth Line derived from: Eurosynth,
Brightness, Saw Chord; Piano Line derived from: Elec Piano,
  Marimba)
HHY_MainVocal
- Main Vocal Line (MP3 Sample from Hare Hare Yukai (Haruhi
  ver), performed by Aya Hirano)
HHY_BackingVocals
- Backing Vocals (MP3 Sample from Hare Hare Yukai)

=Why?=

Hopefully it will inspire some Haruhi-lovin' Haruhiist band members to
get together and jam... I dunno. If sheet music is needed I
can get around to doing them, just let me know. :)

For people who care about why I did this

Well, I've seen a few live bands recently playing random popular songs and such, and it came to my mind that a band playing Haruhi (and other anime related) stuff would be quite awesome...the thing is, even if I do arrange parts for this kind of setting, where would I find people to perform it? I can play keyboarded instruments, sure, but I cannot do vocals, play the guitar, bass guitar, or drums, and even if I could, I obviously woudln't be able to do them all at the same time :P. Finding these performers might not be a problem, but finding those who would perform Haruhi/anime related numbers and even more difficult, one who could sing Japanese xD.. your chances are pretty much left to dedicated anime fans, not quite the type of people I know in real life in my area, unfortunately.

So instead of letting my dreams go completely to waste, I decided to put together a pack of MIDIs and MP3s containing some arranged instrument parts that a band could use (they still need to be derived to notation/tabs). I've put it into 5 parts, vocals, drums, bass, guitar, keyboard. Note that since I don't play the drums, bass or guitar, my adaptation may be unrealistic or impossible, but I'm sure one can make their way around it... The minimum you would need for it to actually resemble a listen-able version of Hare Hare Yukai would probably be Drums+Bass with preferably vocals, it'd sound a little empty, though. I have heard drums+bass version from that Enoz live site place, that was cool.

Now, I don't know how many people exist for this, but I guess you never know until you try.

An anime band is one dream of mine, but it's true that there is a hell lot of anime out there, meaning a hell lot of music, with fans for many types spread out God knows where all over the world, so I understand playing songs that are targeted to one audience or finding a target audience (unless you're playing very mainstream, every anime fan knows it kind of thing) is a big task :P. I'm sure this kind of group already exists, but I'm betting that I would hardly know a song they play. I would be happy enough even if people just jammed in their garage and recorded it ;)

Well, enough ramble for now, hope you guys like it/find it useful, even if it doesn't end up getting used for what I made it for xD
